Bradley C. Proctor

Mr. Proctor is Executive Director and CEO of the Dayton RFID Convergence Center – or DRCC. DRCC will take advantage of the deep technical skills available in the local marketplace where everything from electronic search to the airplane have been invented. This vast pool of resources includes leading retailers and the consumer products giants such as Kroger, Procter and Gamble, and Smucker’s to name a few. Also opportunities with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and its Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force AIT Office and the Air Force Materiel Command Headquarters (of which AFMC’s operating budget represents 57% of the total Air Force Budget).

Mr. Proctor has long been known as one of Dayton's IT strategists and community advocates hosting the daily drive time technology radio show IT Matters on Dayton's ESPN everyday for more than 10 years. Mr. Proctor exploded onto the national stage as Founder and President of GasPriceWatch.com. Mr. Proctor has been a regular guest on national media including CNN, ABC's Good Morning America, CBS's The Morning Show, and Fox News where as Founder and President of GasPriceWatch he is often sought out for comments and understanding of the nations retail gasoline market. Mr. Proctor founded GasPriceWatch.com in 1999 while overseeing the delivery of his technical magazine – The Midwest PC Review which he founded. Published from 1993 through 2003 The Midwest PC Review enjoyed a peak publication of 40,000 magazines per month. In 2003, Mr. Proctor and his executive team decided that RFID and the technologies that support the RFID industry needed and warranted his full attention. He formed EPC Technologies Inc. and has been working on perfecting a business model to fully capitalize on the rapidly growing RFID industry using the cluster theory of technology formation.

Prior to entering the publishing world, Mr. Proctor worked for NCR Corporation, at its Workstation Product Division and WPD Research and Development Division. In the 1980s, Mr. Proctor worked in real estate development with Loong Ying Development Company Limited, Hong Kong, with assignments in Hong Kong, Beijing, China, Nicaragua, Thailand and Singapore.

Mr. Proctor graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and is a member of the National Business Incubation Association and is Certified Incubation Manager. Mr. Proctor also has a CompTIA RFID+ Certification and is a graduate of Aileron's "Course for Presidents."

Matt Kussman

Assistant Director

Matt brings more than 10 years experience working with multiple high technology startups with a focus in the areas of sales, operations, and business development.

Matt is the Assistant Director for the Dayton RFID Convergence Center, responsible for working one-on-one with member companies, facilitate networking within the business and venture communities in the Dayton area and other regions in the state, to market the center and to recruit companies. Matt assists in the development and implementation of the business assistance program, as well as assisting in securing funding to support the center, and its operations and activities.

"Matt holds a BA in English from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Wright State University with a concentration in Management, Innovation, and Change. Matt is a member of the National Business Incubation Association and a Certified Incubation Manager.

Mindy Clark

Member Services Director

Mindy Clark joined the center as Office Manager in August, 2009. She is now the Member Services Director and helps to ensure that all various elements of the Center are running smoothly and that they're integrated with each other to create an environment conducive to successful business entrepreneurship. A large part of her role is to design, organize and implement office policies and establish standards and procedures. She is also responsible for correspondence with supporting organizations to develop and maintain relationships for the support of the Center. Her role at the Center also includes a variety of other duties including facilities management, scheduling, media correspondence, invoicing, event planning, reception and overseeing general office procedures. She also supports the Center as a Notary Public.

Mindy brings over 10 years of experience working in a variety of financial, human resources and management positions. Prior to joining the Dayton RCC she was a Staffing Manager for the world’s largest specialized staffing firm where she was responsible for client development, for the recruitment of accounting and finance professionals and for providing those candidates with professional and value added career guidance.

Previously, Mindy was a Financial Adviser with a Series 7 license for a worldwide investment firm where she was responsible for profiling, advising and providing solutions to satisfy her clients’ financial needs. She counseled those clients on the purchase/sale of investment products including bonds, stocks, mutual funds, annuities and life insurance. She has also held the position of Escrow Manager for a local Title company as well as Payroll Processor for a local specialty retailer.

Mindy graduated with honors in 2002 from Sinclair Community College with an A.A.S degree in Accounting and also has a B.S. degree in Anthropology in progress from Wright State University. She is also a member of the National Business Incubation Association.

Tony Ballis

Tony’s education and career background bring a broad assortment of views to our center. In June 2010, he will earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems with a minor in Computer Information Technology from Wright State University’s Raj Soin College of Business. During his time at Wright State, he has been on the Dean’s List and a member of multiple honor societies. Focusing on the RFID field, Tony has obtained his CompTIA RFID+ Certification during his time at Wright State. In 2006 he obtained an Associate Degree in Network Engineering from Sinclair Community College.

A full time student since 2008, his career background includes both government and political work. Tony’s most recent position was with the Montgomery County Democratic Party serving as their Executive Director. As Executive Director he coordinated multiple campaigns, kept financial records and initiated e-mail and database systems to make their communication and tracking of data more efficient. Tony currently serves as 1st Vice President on the Southeast Priority Board in Dayton.

Tony’s position here at DRCC is Special Projects Resident. His focus will be in implementing an international database of RFID manufacturers, consultants, whole-sellers and end users for use by our Members in the center and the RFID community worldwide. The purpose of this database is to assist companies and potential users of RFID technology in obtaining information and locating companies for potential RFPs.
